Terms of Service

By accessing or using partmatch.io (the “Service”), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree, do not use the Service. These terms form a binding agreement between you and Sisto's AS, the Norwegian- incorporated company that operates Partmatch.

Partmatch is a reference tool that provides cross-references between industrial part numbers across manufacturers — primarily bearings, V-belts, sheaves, and adjacent power-transmission components. The Service is informational.

We do not sell physical parts directly. We may connect you with third-party industrial distributors via affiliate links or, where you have explicitly opted in, by sharing your inquiry with a distributor we have verified.

We make best efforts to ensure cross-reference accuracy, and we annotate each match with a confidence indicator and source provenance where available. However:

• Cross-references are a guidance tool, not engineering specification.
• For critical applications — safety-related, high-load, high-speed, regulated, or where the failure consequence is material — you must verify suitability with the component manufacturer or a qualified engineer before installation.
• We are not liable for any loss, damage, or injury arising from misapplication of Partmatch cross-reference data.

You agree not to:

• Scrape, crawl, or otherwise extract data from the Service in bulk without prior written permission.
• Send automated queries beyond the rate limits applied to normal interactive use.
• Attempt to bypass authentication, rate-limit, or abuse- prevention measures.
• Use Partmatch data, in whole or in part, to build a competing cross-reference service.
• Misrepresent your identity or affiliation when submitting forms or contacting us.
• Use the Service for any unlawful purpose or in violation of any applicable law.

Manufacturer names, brand names, and individual part numbers referenced on Partmatch are the property of their respective owners. We reference them under nominative fair-use principles for the purpose of identifying components and their equivalents. No endorsement or affiliation is implied unless expressly stated.

The Partmatch service itself — including our compilation of cross-reference data, our matching algorithms, our written content, our user interface, and our brand — is the property of Sisto's AS and is protected by copyright, database-rights, and trademark law where applicable.

If you access Partmatch programmatically via our API, additional terms apply to that use. See /developers for API documentation, rate limits, and the API-specific terms that govern your integration.

Some links on Partmatch route to industrial distributors. We may earn a commission on purchases made via those links. Where you have opted in via a clear consent checkbox, we may also share the details of a specific inquiry (part requested, equipment context, email, optional company) with a verified distributor who can help source the part.

These commercial relationships do not influence our cross-reference data. Equivalence classifications and source- reliability indicators are produced independently of any commercial relationship with a manufacturer or distributor.

The Service is provided on an “as is” and “as available” basis. To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, we disclaim all warranties — express, implied, statutory, or otherwise — including the implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, accuracy, completeness, and non-infringement. We do not warrant that the Service will be uninterrupted, secure, or error-free, or that any cross-reference shown will be suitable for your specific application.

To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, the total aggregate liability of Sisto's AS for any claim arising out of or related to the Service is limited to the greater of: (a) the total amount you have paid to us in the 12 months preceding the claim, or (b) one hundred US dollars (US$100).

For users of the free Service, the cap under (a) is zero. We are not liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, exemplary, or punitive damages, including lost profits, lost revenue, lost data, or business interruption, even if we have been advised of the possibility of such damages.

Nothing in these terms excludes or limits liability that cannot lawfully be excluded or limited under Norwegian or EU law — including liability for gross negligence, wilful misconduct, or breach of mandatory consumer protections.

You agree to indemnify and hold Sisto's AS harmless from any claim, demand, loss, or damages, including reasonable legal fees, arising out of your breach of these terms, your misuse of the Service, or your violation of any law or the rights of a third party.

These terms are governed by the laws of Norway. Any dispute arising out of or in connection with these terms or your use of the Service is subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Norway, subject to any mandatory rules of consumer protection that may apply in your country of residence.

We may update these terms from time to time. The “Last updated” date at the top of the page reflects the most recent revision. Continued use of the Service after a change becomes effective constitutes acceptance of the revised terms. Material changes will be announced on the website before they take effect.
